More Random Things About Me

I am having too much fun with this task...

1. I would prefer to stay in and play board games than go out and get wasted.
2. If we played, I would probably beat you in chess. I've had to stop playing with several boyfriends to prevent wars (read: egos get destroyed).
3. I'm very good at starting things/ projects but not very good at finishing them.
4. I like to pick at things.
5. I prefer mornings to afternoons or nights.
6. Sometimes I feel more comfortable around kids than adults.
7. I am terrible at making small talk.
8. I'm not very good at balancing things in my life - I tend to go towards one extreme or the other.
9. I eat apples pretty much daily, but I don't consider them to be my favorite fruit.
10. I like to take really really hot showers.

I might be a little bit obsessive on this one, but how gorgeous is Allie Crandell?? After seeing her on The City, I have been trying to track down some of her modeling pics... she is stunning! Looks like a doll and a doe all wrapped up in one... who cares if Kelly Catrone thinks she's too thin, I think she's beautiful w/ amazing features...

My Big 3-0 (part 1)

So it's taken me a few days to write about my birthday, but i ended up having a great time...

I woke up to this glorious Melie Bianco from my BFF:








And this from my mom:











Then I went to work where Lindsay decorated my office and Mary Lou had gotten me a chocolate glazed doughnut to start my day off super sweet.

After interviewing intern applicants all day, the rest of the interns and I, along with Nate and Clay headed toCiao Baci for some delicious cocktails and tapas. (P.S. Pear Martini was DELISH!).
The next day, I was "ill" so I took off work and went to the SPA!!! Seriously, $235 for the day...Whee... 5 hours of pure bliss - start off the morning with a fuzzy robe and slippers, then off to a massage for an hour. After that I relaxed with Vogue and Elle until my spa mani and pedi... then a spa lunch followed up by a facial! OOO so relaxing.

2. My lavender candle from Illuminations... it smells SO AMAZING. Totally helping me develop my plan of having a spa-like atmosphere in my bedroom. (P.S. All of these scented candles are now 50% off!!)

3. My new Addidas training outfit that Nate got me for Christmas... makes me wanna go to the gym!

So, last night I was at a party of people I did not know and was getting pressure to place a shot glass in my cleavage so that my boyfriend could take a shot.
a) I was not drunk
b) No one else was doing this
c) I did not know these people
d) Someone wanted to take a picture of this

Needless to say I opted out.

I think I am waaaay too old to have to argue my way out of this type of situation.

My 30th birthday is on Thursday = I am too old for the above
